VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
The Task Force has many volunteer opportunities, for both groups
and individuals. We need assistance on weekends as well as
mid-week, working in the field, the office, with school groups,
community groups and individuals. Below is a list of activities
the Task Force needs assistance with:
- Assist with weekend plantings, be a planting lead, set up & clean up
(October - April). For the current list of plantings, see our
upcoming activities.
- Baseline monitoring and quality control at plantings.
- Perform vegetation monitoring (spring/summer).
- Assist with school groups mid-week.
- Assess future project sites (Mapping, Habitat Assessment,
Plant Identification, etc.)
- Solicit donations.
- Donate funds and/or equipment for volunteers and staff.
- Water Quality Monitoring (as protocols are set).
- Find or provide planting sites along streams and/or wetlands.
- Computer Support Specialist.
- Earth Day Assistant Coordinator.
- Gardeners - Grow native trees and shrubs for us in your yard.
- Assist in finding sites for Native Plant Salvage.
- Water and Weed Nursery Plants.
- Website assistance.
- Newsletter design assistance.
- Bookkeeping assistance.
