About the Task Force

The Stilly-Snohomish Fisheries Enhancement Task Force is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, registered as a charitable organization with the Washington Secretary of State. The mission of the Task Force is to ensure the future of salmon in the Stillaguamish and Snohomish River and Island County watersheds, a combined land area of more than 2,400 square miles. Since its beginning in 1990, the Task Force has directed its resources and energy to the challenge of developing community partnerships and strategies to improve and restore the recreational and commercial fisheries of the Pacific Northwest.

18th Annual Social & Salmon BBQ

When: Tuesday, May 20th, 6:00 - 9:00 PM

Where: The Manor House, 13032 Admiralty Way in Everett (directions provided with RSVP)

Join Task Force staff, board, partners, volunteers, members and guests to acknowledge our hard working volunteers and project partners. Help celebrate our accomplishments, and enjoy good food and great company. For dinner, we're serving Kip's famous BBQ'd salmon, delicious side-dishes and lots of desserts.

You can also bid on our great silent auction items, and proceeds will support future Task Force salmon enhancement efforts. And new this year: Live Mini Auction! A handful of our most sought after silent auction items will be auctioned off in authentic auction style!

Citizen Soundkeeper Training

When: June 4th, 6pm-9pm

Where: Everett, WA

Come Join the Task Force and Puget Soundkeeper Alliance to learn about what you can do to help Puget Sound. A short training session will be led by Katie Kolarich from Puget Soundkeeper Alliance. The class will include a tour of the Everett waterfront so bring a sweater! A few snacks will be provided, but we encourage you to eat beforehand.

Beach and River Cleanups

When: June 6, June 21, August 2, and August 23

Where: Various locations - see below

Join the Task Force and many other partners for this year’s beach expos! The Beach Expo will provide an opportunity for participation by citizen volunteers in clean-up and invasive weed removal events. This event will also consist of an educational outreach campaign to educate citizens about marine life in the Puget Sound, the dangers of debris on our marine shores and riverbanks, and the impacts of pollution on wildlife and the environment, and will encourage good stewardship of local beaches and rivers. Educational activities will include distribution of educational brochures at local beaches and boat launches, guided naturalist walks along the beach, touch tanks with live marine critters, and preserved specimen displays. Partners include: Puget Soundkeeper Alliance, WSU Beach Watchers, Snohomish County MRC, and People for Puget Sound.

  • North Fork Stillaguamish River Clean Up: Near Arlington
    Saturday, August 23rd: 10 am-1 pm

Festival of the River

When: August 9, 10am-8pm and August 10, 10am-6pm

Where: Arlington - River Meadows Park

We need your help to recruit volunteers! We are in need of volunteers to staff our booth at the Festival of the River. Help the Task Force recruit more volunteers to help ensure our mission of preserving and restoring salmon habitat!
