Volunteers Needed to Support K-12 Salmon Education
The Task Force is seeking volunteers to work with students in grades 3 – 12, both in the classroom and on fieldtrips. Volunteers will assist with hands-on activities that teach students about salmon, watersheds, water quality and native plants. Volunteers are needed during regular school hours; fieldtrips and lessons are often scheduled on Tuesdays through Fridays, anytime from 7:30am to 3pm. For more information, read about the Task Force’s Watershed Education Programs.
Previous experience working with youth and/or knowledge of salmon and aquatic ecosystems is desired. Volunteers will need to pass a background check. Interested? Please send a brief letter to Cara Ianni at cara@stillysnofish.org stating your applicable experience, why you are interested in volunteering, and your schedule availability.
